**Still looking for college opportunities? Colleges with Later Application Deadlines
We are the Black and Brown Academics and Mentorship (B.B.A.M.) Program, a student-run organization at the University of Texas at Austin! Our mission is to empower Black and Brown high school students with the necessary tools to be successful in college by pairing them with motivated Black and Brown college students. Mentees will be given college preparation and academic resources with the opportunity to take part in life-skill workshops. The unique perspective that our mentorship program offers is a focus on Black and Brown history and shared experiences. All meetings will be held virtually on Zoom on Fridays from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM CST (Bi-weekly, every other Friday). We would love for the high school students that you work with to be a part of our program!

ApplyTexas Log in: https://www.goapplytexas.org One application to apply for colleges and universities here in Texas! On ApplyTexas you can accomplish a multitude of tasks including:
Common App Log in: www.commonapp.org/ If you are planning to apply to out of state colleges/universities, a good number of universities accept the Common Application. It is VERY important that if you need a letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor etc. DO NOT invite them to submit one directly through the Common App. Recommenders need to submit recommendation letters through Naviance. This will allow teachers to submit recommendations for several LBJ students as appose to just one recommendation for one student through the Common App . |
